1:1 Author Coaching

A focused, one-to-one session to map your story,

problem-solve roadblocks, and leave with a clear plan.

Who this is for:

If you’re drafting or revising and want a practical, coach-led hour to turn scattered notes into a workable path, this session is for you. We’ll clarify goals, pressure-test ideas, and leave you with a concise action plan you can execute right away—fiction or nonfiction.

  • Idea-rich, structure-light. You’ve got characters, scenes, and vibes—now you need a spine that holds it together.

  • Mid-draft + stuck. You’re 10–50k words in and the middle sags, threads won’t connect, or stakes feel fuzzy.

  • Need feedback now. You want fast, verbal input before you write more pages (or rewrite the same ones).

  • Revising without a plan. You have notes (beta/critique/your own), but not a prioritized roadmap.

  • Complex builds. Multi-POV timelines, world-building, or memoir arcs that need alignment and pacing.

  • Pitch clarity. You’re shaping a premise, synopsis, or back-cover blurb and need help it.

  • Accountability. You work best with clear tasks, milestones, and a coach checking in on progress.

  • Fiction or nonfiction. Novels, short stories, memoir, essays, and creative nonfiction welcome.

What's included:

If you’re drafting or revising and want a practical, coach-led hour to turn scattered notes into a workable path, this session is for you. We’ll clarify goals, pressure-test ideas, and leave you with a concise action plan you can execute right away—fiction or nonfiction.

  • Map Your Story: We’ll turn scattered notes into a one-page outline or simple mind-map that shows premise, POV, core question, and major beats. You’ll get the outline (Doc) and a snapshot of the map so you can keep building after the session.

  • Live Brainstorm: In-session whiteboarding on character goals, stakes, world rules, and plot options. Expect 2–3 concrete scene ideas, a few “what if…/then…” paths, and targeted prompts you can write from immediately.

  • Concrete Next Steps: A prioritized, bite-sized plan for the next 1–2 weeks: what to draft or revise first, word-count or milestone targets, and a short checklist (e.g., “Draft Inciting Incident,” “Revise synopsis paragraph 2,” “Test alt-POV in Ch. 3”).

  • Roadblock Triage: Practical tools to get unstuck—scene-purpose check, cause→effect chains, pacing map, and a quick stakes audit. You’ll leave with 2–3 exercises tailored to your specific hurdle (plot gap, flat tension, motivation issues).

  • After the Call: PDF Session Summary Delivered within 24 hours. Includes:

    • Key decisions & takeaways

    • Outline/mind-map snapshot

    • Action checklist with priorities

    • Writing prompts/examples we generated

Not Sure Where to Start?

A free, no-pressure 15-minute chat to review your project, where you’re stuck, and your timeline. We’ll look at genre, word count, stage, and goals.
