I was once a lost, first-generation writer with big goals but no roadmap. I poured my energy into everything, unsure how to begin building a true writing life.

I've been in school my whole life, literally. I love learning so much that I signed up for six years of college. And just when I thought that wasn't enough, I started teaching high school English, community college English, and Freshman Seminar courses at the university level for the past 15 years.

Being the first in my family to carve my own writing path wasn’t easy, but it taught me how liberating it is to break molds and follow your passion. Today, I’m dedicated to helping others unlearn the idea that writing is just another cutthroat competition. I truly believe anyone can flourish as a writer if they have the right tools, discipline, and support.
